As part of the plan to improve the capacity of
officials, experts, accreditors, on the afternoon of November 15, 2022, the VNU-CEA
held the seminar on “Quality assurance system building and development:
Experience from Europe and Indonesia”. Participants of the Seminar were: Experts from The Support to Higher Education in the ASEAN Region
Programme (SHARE); Dr. Le My Phong – Deputy Director of Vietnam
Education Quality Management Agency, MOET; Board Management of VNU-CEA; members
of VNU-CEA’s Accreditation Council and education managers; accreditors; experts
and staff in the field of quality assurance and accreditation. At the seminar, Dr. Achim Hopbach, who has over
25 years of experience in higher education, presented the European Framework
for Quality Assurance and shared experience in evaluating education
accreditation organizations in Europe. After that, Prof. Chan Basaruddin and
Dr. Gieks Sugiyono - 2 experts’ consultant in the field of higher education
development - shared quality assurance experience and lessons learnt from
Indonesia, also BAN-PT experience in carrying out the accreditation process. Dr. Achim Hopbach shared experience in

showing deep appreciation to teachers, education experts and specialists, who
